Tips and Tricks from a DiLiGO Gamer

Pam Gillespie, an avid DiLiGO Gamer, recently entered our DiLiGO Games September Photo Competition. As part of her rounding up of the votes she promised to reveal her Slot Machines playing strategy; one that ensures that you can get more tokens and play for longer every day!

She revealed her secret strategy on the DiLiGO Slots Fan Page Wall yesterday. This is what she had to say:

"TYVM to ALL the voted for me!!!! Ok, my strategy is.... 

If you are starting out with just the daily 1,000 tokens 

• 1st get some friends to send you tokens daily. 
• 2nd if you are in a situation to get the VIP
• 3rd wait a day or 2 to play, -Editors Note: But make sure you log in daily otherwise you won't receive your daily tokens!!!
• 4th,get all your upgrades for the games and
• 5th (is the most important one) start off playing the 2 games that are bet max of 5 tokens (Euro and US presidents) and only play till you know you will be in the top 80 for the hour. Then when you get at least 2000 tokens to play then play them 2 and the 9 credit machines like Wild West the same way then move on as you build up the tokens, DONT play games like Tinkerbell or Disco that are 75 max bet untill you have over 9000 tokens as they will drain your tokens trying to get into the top 20 and if you do play them dont let your token balance fall below 3000.

This is how I am able to ALL day everyday anytime I want so I hope this helps everyone out!!!! I will get my VIP back I hope soon Diligo and TYVM ALL!!!!!"

Want more tokens? Get more tokens!

It's really easy! Just log in to Slots on Facebook every 20 hours and you'll receive 500 daily tokens!

If this just isn't enough to satisfy your DiLiGO Slots thirst, then you'll be happy to know that there are various other ways that you can get more tokens.

3. Enter a Lucky Draw

Using the points you have won from spinning on the Slot Machines you can purchase tickets to enter a Lucky Draw and stand the chance to win tokens. One point = one ticket.

We made some changes to the Lucky Draw Store earlier this year so there are now two draws for 500 tokens run every half an hour as well as daily, weekly and monthly draws for 5000, 20 000 and 50 000 tokens respectively.

There are two kinds of half-hourly draws. The regular ones where you can purchase as many tickets as you want thereby increasing your chances (statistically speaking) of being drawn the winner.

There are also "Max 1000" draws that cap each user at a max ticket purchase of 1000 tickets. This ensures that users have a more equal chance at being picked the winner. We highly recommend entering these draws.

4. Answer Questions

For answering various market research survey questions you will be rewarded with between 10 and 25 tokens per question.

Select "Get Tokens", "Take the Survey" from the in-game menu to find out more.

5. Subscribe to the DiLiGO Newsletter

If you sign up to the DiLiGO Monthly Newsletter (packed with exciting news, tips and tricks and more) you'll get 500 free tokens!

To do so select "You", "Newsletter Settings" from the in-game menu. You will need to fill in your email address, make sure that the box "Send me the DiLiGO Newsletter" is checked then click "Ok". We will then send you a validation email to confirm that your email address exists. Check your email inbox for this email and make sure to click on the link contained in it to complete the validation process. Once completed your DiLiGO account will automatically be credited with 500 tokens!

6. Take up an Offer

By successfully taking up an offer from one of three offer applications like SuperRewards, OfferPal or TokenAds you will be rewarded with the specified amount of tokens.

Select "Get Tokens", "Take up an Offer" from the in-game menu to find out more.

7. Play games like Leprechaun, the Token Rocket Bonus Game (level 1) and Disco on the Progressive Jackpot level (level 4) as these games all pay out in tokens.

8. Upgrade the various Slot Machines to higher levels

Using the points won from hitting winning combinations you can upgrade any machine to a higher level thereby unlocking a higher win pay out percentage or bonus features like Progressive Jackpots, free spins, Bonus games and more.

We also suggest you try play with a higher amount of tokens bet per line so that you can multiply your win pay out and put yourself in the running for a place on the top 20 "Best Spins of the Hour" Live Leaderboard. First place wins 1000 tokens and 2nd to 20th place win 500 tokens each. Refer to number 2 above.

9. Purchase a VIP subscription

For only $9.99 per month you can purchase a VIP subscription that entitles you to 2,000 daily tokens, the ability to exchange 2x daily Token Gifts, the ability to be able to win bigger jackpots in the VIP only Progressive Jackpots.

10. Purchase tokens or level upgrades 

This is a much faster way to get tokens to play for longer and upgrade quicker.

HOW IT WORKED:

We're getting tired of trying to come up with silly questions to ask you each month, so we're shaking things up and are going to run a "BIG WIN Photo Competition!" instead!

To enter you need to:

1. Take a screen shot of your "BIG WIN" when playing your favourite Slot Machines game - Find out how to take a screen shot here
2. Email it to us at competition@diligogames.com
3. Within 24 hours of us receiving your entry we'll post it to the Fan Page wall.

Who's who at the DiLiGO Zoo

People have different styles of playing online games. So the DiLiGO Gaming Psychology Team has identified seven personality types of online Slot Machine gamers based on simple animal characteristics. See if you can spot yourself, and use our advice for an enhanced gaming experience.

Zebra – You see everything in black and white and like things to be predictable. You can easily spot danger, which makes you run in a whirlwind of confusion.  Ironically, this is when your intuition kicks in, and after the panic you may find yourself in a much better environment.

• Zebra Gamers – Zebras find a good playing formula and stick to it. But if they start losing they will panic and may save themselves through sheer wild luck.
• DiLiGO Advice – Play games with unusual features like Progressive Jackpots or Bonus Games that will shake you out of your comfort zone.

Elephant – You are usually slow and methodical and you tend to hold grudges for a long time. You make careful decisions based on past experience. This means that you learn fast. Despite your plodding nature you are adaptable, humorous and playful.

• Elephant Gamers – Elephants are strategic and plan ahead. When they lose they kick in their heels and go at the problem until they have understood how to get around it. They enjoy playing games that used to give them problems just because they feel proud of beating it.
• DiLiGO Advice – Don’t get too serious about any one game. Spice it up a bit and go for funny game themes that bring out your playfulness. Increase your bet per line for some added excitement!

Monkey – Your curiosity really gets you into trouble. You don’t like to stick to one thing and quickly move on when you’re bored. However, your wacky and competitive nature makes you excellent at taking other people’s ideas and turning them into something new and creative.

• Monkey Gamers – Monkeys don’t really build momentum. They will ‘sample’ games rather than play them. But if they can stay focused, their creativity brings them a lot of luck.
• DiLiGO Advice – Compete with a friend, especially an Elephant or a Zebra who will keep you focused.

Python – Your sleepy appearance hides your cunning. You can wait patiently for a long time, but when the moment comes you seize it with confidence. Once you grab onto something you squeeze it for all it’s worth. You know when to relax and bask in the sun, and when it is time to apply yourself, so you don’t waste a lot of energy worrying about unnecessary things.

• Python Gamers – Python gamers don’t seek the limelight and easily fall under the radar. They may at first seem bored, but they can suddenly turn into ruthless high-rollers quite late in the game. They will often surprise other players by walking away with all the evening’s winnings.
• DiLiGO Advice – Be nice. Make an effort to be social. Why don’t you add some buddies to your DiLiGO Profile and get some friendly competition going?

Lion – You are proud and not shy tell people about your accomplishments. You know how to get what you want, and you can be very warm and generous when you are happy. But you complain bitterly if things don’t go your way and you will roar furiously over the smallest thorn in your foot.

• Lion Gamers – When Lions are winning everything goes well and not just for themselves. They will easily spend a fortune on friends and entertain them in the lap luxury. However, Lions make very sad, sore losers.
• DiLiGO Advice – Slow down! Take a deep breath and remember to have fun! Remember, although winning is the ultimate goal, it's also about enjoying the game!

Panda – You prefer to explore the world on your own and can be quite shy. You tend to be absorbed more in following your own interests than in other people. But you also have a caring, playful nature when you relax.

• Panda Gamers – Pandas are quite fascinated by games but are less concerned about winning or losing. They can easily spend hours on a single game and hardly notice that they are on a losing streak. Only when they run out of credits will they think about moving on. 
• DiLiGO Advice – Play with a friend who will tap you on the shoulder and keep you focussed.

Giraffe – Some people say you have your head in the clouds. This really means that you have a very far-reaching view, and you tend to see the bigger picture better than most people. But you often miss the little details close to the ground.

• Giraffe Gamers – Giraffes can easily spot patterns and this makes them good strategists. However, they are less absorbed by the details of each play than with the overall achievement. They sometimes give up on a game if it does not fit with their bigger plans.
• DiLiGO Advice – Remember that you must build your empire one brick at a time. Every little point counts!

The DILiGO Games Kitchen comes to life

What do being stressed and desserts have in common? Well, if you’re even slightly observant you will have noticed that ‘stressed’ is ‘desserts’ spelled backwards. This suggests that the one can lead to the other.

For example, most of us dive for desserts when we’re feeling stressed. After all, there is nothing like the soft squelch of chocolate mousse in your mouth and the fantastic rush of sugar in your bloodstream to make you forget your troubles for a while.

But it also suggests that creating perfect, mouth-watering desserts can be rather stressful in itself. Seriously, not everyone is born to be a chef. Have you ever tried to make your own macaroons, strudel or puff pastry? Have you ever tried to temper chocolate or emulsify eggs? It's not as simple as it seems, and if you’re cooking to impress people – like your boss or your smug sister-in-law who does everything better than you – then a complicated recipe is your ticket to total humiliation.

So rather take your guests to a restaurant and let a professional handle the catering. Then, as you savour the silky smoothness of your crème brûlée, consider the genius that transformed the high stress levels of a restaurant kitchen into this mouth-watering piece of culinary art. Give your compliments to the chef, because usually they don’t receive the recognition they deserve.

Not all chefs get to be on TV like Jamie Oliver. So to be noticed they sometimes have to get really creative – like coming up with outrageous new recipes. Have you ever had fried beer? Well now you can. Chef Mark Zable spent three years perfecting this ultimate bar snack, and it has won him more than his 15 minutes in the press.

But positive press is not the only way to get noticed. Chef Christopher Turla recently got caught on film by the public health inspector as he was licking a live toad in the restaurant kitchen. It was supposedly a joke, but perhaps all those lonely, stressful hours over the stove made him long to find his prince – someone who would save him from a life of mediocrity. But instead of turning into a prince the toad got him a large fine and a bit of publicity in the news. At least now he will be remembered.

Then there are the chefs who missed their calling and yearn for a different profession. They get around the problem by using their kitchen skills in entirely unrelated fields, like the chef who turned fashion designer by creating his wife’s wedding dress out of cream puffs. The wife loved it so much she didn’t want to take it off. You’ve got to wonder whether anyone considered putting the bride on the dessert menu?
